Tasting Notes
This blend of 77% Syrah, and 23% Grenache is from the block 17 of the Destiny Ridge Vineyard, in the Horse Heaven Hills. Jarrod Boyle and his crew managed the vines to our specifications. Two different clones of Syrah were blended with Grenache to create a wine of stunning complexity, structure and richness.

Winemaking
These wines were hand picked into small bins. Each vineyard was fermented separately in ¾ ton lots to maximize extraction. The individual lots were finished in 30% New Burgundy barrels, to complement the massive berry fruit. The final blend was racked together in early spring to allow time to marry. The wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered in August 2006, and released winter 2006. The final pH was 3.73, with 14.9% alcohol. There were 310 cases produced.
